Graduated in Veterinary Medicine by UTAD, he received his PhD in "Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells" by University of Minho. He worked in the USA at the Stem Cells Biology Lab - Pennington Biomedical Research Center, University of Louisiana. He's a Professor at University School Vasco da Gama in Coimbra and the Director of the Research Center of the veterinary faculty. Founding member and President of the Portuguese Society of Veterinary Regenerative Medicine - VETREG.
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2012) with expertise in the development of biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. Berti's has been working with interdisciplinary teams that are interested in the development of several biotechnological genomic and tissue-engineering technologies, including novel designs of biomedical platforms, in vitro and ex vivo platforms for veterinary and human cells culture systems.
Graduated in Biological Sciences by PUC-Minas (Brazil), where she received her Master and PhD degree in Immunology by UFMG (Brazil). During her PhD she worked at 3B's Research Group of University of Minho, where she continued her work as a post-doc for a year. Her work during her PhD was awarded with 'Best Thesis Award' by UFMG (Brazil). With great experience in cell culture, stem cells and tissue engineering. She currently develops her scientific activity at Biomaterials and Stem Cells Lab (CNC - University of Coimbra).
Graduated and Master in Veterinary Medicine by UTAD. Post-graduation in Odontology and Maxillofacial Surgery at 'Universidade Complutense de Madrid'. Performed his PhD in Veterinary Sciences at UTAD in collaboration with University of Minho and Santiago of Compostela University, under the subject of Tissue Engineering and Periodontal Regeneration. He is a Professor at UTAD. Member of the European Society of Veterinary Dentistry (EVDS) e founding member of the Portuguese Society of Stomatology-Dentistry Experimental Medicine (SPMEDVE) and of the Portuguese Society of Veterinary Regenerative Medicine - VETREG.
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine by UTAD. Attended the post-graduation course in Small Animal Surgery (Improve, 2008) and several Anesthesia and Veterinary Surgery training actions. Speaker and trainer in Veterinary Anesthesia courses by Universitat Autànoma de Barcelona (UAB). He's the Clinical Director of Coimbra's University Veterinary Hospital (HVUC) and assists clinic, orthopedics and neurosurgery at Veterinary Hospital of Baixo Vouga (HVBV). Heâs a Professor at University School Vasco da Gama in Coimbra. Currently conducting his PhD on bone regeneration at ICBAS (University of Porto).
